Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using uSwap Zero.

What is uSwap Zero?

uSwap Zero is a zero-fee, zero-tracking, open-source crypto swap frontend. It lets you swap 140+ cryptocurrencies across 29+ blockchains with no markup, no hidden fees, and no JavaScript tracking. Powered by NEAR Intents protocol.

Is KYC required?

No. uSwap Zero requires no KYC, no identity verification, no account, and no sign-up. There is nothing to register, no email to provide, and no documents to upload. Just pick your tokens, enter your wallet addresses, and swap. See our privacy policy for full details on what we do (and don't) collect.

Are there really no fees?

Yes. uSwap Zero charges zero markup, zero commissions, and zero hidden fees. The only cost is the market maker spread — the small difference between buy and sell prices that exists on every exchange. We add nothing on top. See our fee transparency page for details.

Which cryptocurrencies are supported?

Over 140 tokens across 29+ blockchains including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, NEAR, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, BNB Chain, and more. See the full list of supported currencies.

How long does a swap take?

Swap times depend on the blockchains involved. Most swaps complete in 1–30 minutes:

  • Fast (~1 min): Solana, NEAR, XRP, Stellar
  • Medium (2–5 min): Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, BNB Chain
  • Slower (10–30 min): Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin
Is uSwap Zero safe?

uSwap Zero is non-custodial — your funds go directly through the NEAR Intents protocol, not through us. The entire source code is public on GitHub under the MIT License, the build is verifiable at /verify, and there is zero JavaScript tracking. You can audit everything yourself.

What happens if something goes wrong?

If a swap cannot be completed, your funds are automatically refunded to the refund address you provided. The NEAR Intents protocol handles this — no manual intervention is needed. If your swap status shows an issue, check back on your order page as refunds are processed automatically.

Why is there no JavaScript tracking?

Privacy. Most swap services embed analytics scripts that track every click, wallet address, and swap. uSwap Zero uses zero analytics, zero cookies, and makes zero external requests. The minimal JavaScript on the site is limited to form helpers — view the page source to verify.

Is uSwap Zero open source?

Yes. The complete source code is available on GitHub under the MIT License. It is a single Go binary with zero external dependencies — only the Go standard library. You can verify the deployed binary matches the source code at /verify.

Do you collect any personal data?

No. uSwap Zero collects zero personal data. No analytics, no cookies, no IP logging, no wallet address tracking. Your swap details are encrypted in your order URL and never stored on our servers. When the order expires, the data is gone.

What is the market maker spread?

The spread is the difference between what a market maker pays for a token and what they sell it for. It typically ranges from 0.1% to 0.5% depending on the pair and liquidity. This cost exists on every exchange and DEX — unlike other swap services, uSwap Zero adds zero additional markup on top of this natural spread.
